Absolutely not! Our Paint and Pour events are designed for participants of all levels, from beginners to more experienced painters. Our skilled instructors provide step-by-step guidance to ensure everyone leaves with a piece of art they’re proud of.

What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket price includes everything you need: painting supplies (canvas, paints, brushes, and apron), expert instruction from a skilled artist, a selection of wines to enjoy throughout the event, and light refreshments. Your stay includes two nights’ accommodations in the room of your choice (subject to availability) and two gourmet breakfasts. Plus, you’ll take your finished artwork home with you.

How long does the event last?

The Paint and Pour event is designed to last approximately two hours, allowing plenty of time for painting, sipping, and a short break. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to get settled.

Can I come alone, or do I need to bring a partner?

You are more than welcome to come solo and meet new people or bring along a friend, partner, or family member. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy some creative time together or make new friends along the way.

Are non-alcoholic beverages available?

Yes! We offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages for guests who prefer not to drink alcohol or are under the legal drinking age. We want everyone to have a fantastic time, no matter their beverage choice.

What should I wear?

We provide aprons to protect your clothing, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. While most paint washes out easily, it's better to be safe than sorry.

New York is second only to Washington State in apple production, and while Long Island's orchards are smaller, they offer a charming, authentic experience for visitors. Here are a few favorite spots to enjoy a day of apple picking. It's always smart to call ahead to check on the available varieties and current picking conditions.

Breeze Hill Farm, Peconic
Breeze Hill Farm is home to more than 1,200 apple trees, offering varieties like Ginger Gold, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and Mutsu. Staff will point you toward the best picking areas depending on the time of year. The farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Tuesdays. U-pick is available Wednesday through Sunday.

Harbes Family Orchard, Riverhead
Spanning 15 acres and featuring over 27 apple varieties, Harbes Family Orchard is a favorite for families. Popular apples include Gala, Sansa, Honeycrisp, and Golden Delicious. Apple picking is open Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The orchard is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that pets and outside food or drinks aren't allowed.

Lewin Farms, Calverton
Lewin Farms is one of Long Island’s first u-pick farms and offers not only apples but also pumpkins, peppers, and eggplants. They also have a five-acre corn maze open on weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. U-pick hours are generally from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed on Tuesdays. The fields are cash only, but there is an ATM on-site.

Wickham’s Fruit Farm, Cutchogue
Dating back to the 1600s, Wickham’s Fruit Farm is rich in history and offers more than 40 apple varieties. U-pick apples are available on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. During apple season, they offer wagon rides on Saturdays, and their farm stand sells fresh apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, pies, and preserves.

Woodside Orchards, Aquebogue and Jamesport
Woodside Orchards has been family-owned since 1982, with two locations. The Aquebogue location offers weekday apple picking, while the Jamesport location is open on weekends. Both locations offer u-pick apples and baked goods, and the Aquebogue location also has a hard cider tasting room. Pets are welcome in picnic areas but not inside the u-pick orchards.
