Getting to Arbor View House
Arbor View House Bed and Breakfast is located at 8900 Main Road in East Marion, New York, on Long Island’s North Fork. Guests can arrive by car, train, bus, or ferry, with several convenient travel options available. While it’s possible to visit without a vehicle, having a car is recommended for exploring the area. For those arriving without one, Arbor View House has an arrangement with Enterprise for local pick-up and drop-off—please call ahead for details. The Hampton Jitney also stops directly in front of the inn.
From New York City
To drive from New York City, take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) east to Exit 73. Continue on CR 58 East, which becomes Route 25 East. Follow Route 25 through Jamesport, Southold, and Greenport, then continue straight into East Marion. Arbor View House is located about two miles past Greenport, on the right. Look for the yellow flashing diamond near the firehouse, and turn into the driveway marked “B&B PARKING.” Please use the designated parking spots. The barn is the bed and breakfast; follow the path along the side of the barn to reach the main house.
Guests arriving by train can take the Long Island Railroad from Brooklyn or Penn Station to Greenport. From there, East End Taxi provides transportation to the inn. For schedules, visit the LIRR website or call (631) 231-5477.
The Hampton Jitney offers direct service from New York City to East Marion, with a stop right in front of Arbor View House. For schedules and reservations, visit their website or call (800) 527-7709. Renting a car upon arrival is often more economical than in the city.
From Connecticut
Guests can take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London to Orient Point. From there, it’s a six-mile drive west on Route 25 to the inn, located directly across from the East Marion Post Office. For ferry information, visit longislandferry.com or call (860) 443-5281 or (631) 323-2525.
Alternatively, take the ferry from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson. From there, drive Route 112 South to Route 25A East, then continue on Route 25 East to East Marion. For schedules, call (203) 335-2040 or (631) 473-0286.
From the Hamptons (South Fork)
Take the South Ferry from Sag Harbor to Shelter Island, followed by the North Ferry from Shelter Island to Greenport. From Greenport, drive east to reach Arbor View House. For South Ferry and North Ferry schedules, call (516) 749-1200 and (516) 749-0139, respectively.
From Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Points South and West
Travel on I-95 North toward the George Washington Bridge, then cross into New York. Take I-295 South toward the Throgs Neck Bridge, merge onto the Cross Island Parkway South, and continue onto I-495 East (Long Island Expressway) via Exit 30E. Stay on I-495 to Exit 73, then follow the same directions as from New York City by car.
